The top of the new church, the cupola, reaches more than 90 feet in the air, twice the height of the old church.
The front part of the old church will remain and serve as the entryway or "narthex" to the new octagonal sanctuary which will double the seating capactiy of the old church.
The new church building will feature a fountain and landscaped courtyard , intimate devotional chapels, new facilities for social events, retreat rooms, bride's dressing rooms, and additional educational space.
Construction began on the project in early September 2002, and is expected to be completed in June of 2004. Haren & Laughlin is the general contractor of the project. END
