Father Roger Miller dies at 75
KANSAS CITY - Father Roger Miller, 75, a priest of the diocese for 50 years, died March 12 at Truman Medical Center.

Roger Miller was born on Sept. 17, 1929, in Kansas City, to George and Rose Miller. He attended St. Peter School and Rockhurst High School.
He attended Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis, and was ordained to the priesthood at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on April 3, 1954.
Father Miller served as an assistant pastor at Blessed Sacrament, St. Michael, and St. Charles parishes in Kansas City, St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs, Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Raytown, and Our Lady of the Presentation Parish in Lee's Summit.
He served as pastor of St. Sabina Parish in Belton, and was the founding pastor of Holy Spirit Parish in Lee's Summit, which opened in 1979. He served there until his retirement in 1998.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 15 at Holy Spirit Church. Cremation and internment at Mount Olivet Cemetery will follow.
